Yahoo! Glue beta launched in U.S.

In May, Yahoo! introduced “Gule Pages” in India, now the company has launched Yahoo! Glue™ beta in the U.S. which is geared to be a standalone feature which would enable you view Yahoo search results in tab forms according to specific categories.

The new visual display for search results is not intended to replace the current way by which Yahoo display search results. It is just part of a Yahoo experiment in trying to give its users more “visual way of browsing and discovering new things from the web.”

This new iteration is a limited set of topics (more will be added over time), and focused on assembling useful information from all over the Web, giving users a new place to discover and explore images, videos, articles and more onto one Yahoo! Glue™ page. These pages are built using an algorithm that automatically places the most relevant modules on a page, giving you a visually rich, diverse page all about the topic in which you’re interested.
