The winners of the 2012 Interaction Design Association’s (IxDA) first annual Interaction Awards were announced last week and Windows Phone 7.5 won in the Connecting category.
Top prizes were awarded in the following categories: Best in Show, Best Concept, Best Student, People’s Choice, and Best in Category for six categories. An international jury selected the category award winners, and the People’s Choice Award was chosen by the online community.
The awards recognized twenty-six winning projectss from across the globe for excellence in interaction design. The winners were selected from over 300 submissions by an international panel of jurors. LoopLoop for Sifteo cubes won best in show, and there is a ton of other cool stuff among the 26 winners.
The winners were celebrated during a festive ceremony at the Interaction12 conference sponsored by Google in Dublin, Ireland.
Submissions for the 2013 Interaction Awards will open in next Summer.
