Cutomers who are leveraging Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 solution have reported that new station information isn’t provided by MultiPoint Manager.
Mcrosoft not only acknowledged the problem but also detailed the symptoms, offering an update to affected customers in KB2542222:
“With the following optional update, local and remote stations can use custom Remote Desktop Services (RDS) listeners to connect to a computer that is running Windows MultiPoint Server 2011.”
Microsoft stresses that the update should be deployed only in a specific scenario, as opposite as for all Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 deployments.
Apply the following update only if the following conditions are true:
- You use a local or remote station device that uses custom RDS listeners to connect to a computer that is running Windows MultiPoint Server 2011.
- When the device is used to log on, you want the user interface of MultiPoint Manager to dynamically update while MultiPoint Manager runs.
Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 refresh is available free of charge on the Microsoft Download Center.
