Windows Live Video Messages Beta retires on July 21, 2010

Microsoft sent out e-mails to its Windows Live Video Messages customers notifying them that their service will soon be discontinued: “Windows Live Video Messages Beta website will be retired on July 21, 2010. After this date, you won’t be able to send, receive, or view video messages using website. If you’ve video messages that you want to keep, you’ll need to save them to your computer before this date. To save a video message to your computer:

  1. Go to Video Messages Beta website and sign in with your Windows Live ID.
  2. Open a video message and then click Save button.(You can only save video messages if the sender has given you permissions to save or forward their video message.)
  3. Choose a location on your computer, enter a name for the file, and then click Save.
