Microsoft released the final version of Windows Live Essentials, in 48 languages. The complete package comes includes the popular programs ‘Movie Maker, Mail, Messenger, Writer, Sync, and Family Safety.’ Also, Dell becomes the first global PC manufacturer to ship PCs with WLE2011 and Windows 7 pre-installed, just in time for your holiday purchases.
Windows Live team has aimed to ensure that Live Essentials 2011 takes advantage of Win7 fully. All applications now use the new ribbon UI and integrate further into Win7 by using Jumplists. Live Sync is also included which keeps your files synchronized on the web and across multiple PCs.
Microsoft also introduced several new features for Live Photo Gallery, including photo fusing to blend photos together and improved facial recognition.
