“With Windows Hello you can sign into your Windows devices in less than 2 seconds – that’s 3 times faster than a password that you have to remember and type in,” microsoft writes.
Also, with Windows Hello and the Anniversary Update, you can now sign into compatible apps and Microsoft Edge websites.
Keep in mind that;
- Windows Hello requires specialized hardware, including fingerprint reader, illuminated IR sensor or other biometric sensors and capable devices.
- Based on average time comparison between typing a password respectively detecting a face or fingerprint to authentication success, microsoft said.
In other news, according to reports, Microsoft is predicting the death of the QWERTY keyboard, and supposed to be working on a new Bluetooth enabled ‘Surface Ergonomic Keyboard,’ as the report suggests.
The revealtion comes from an entry on the Bluetooth SIG registry referring to Microsoft’s ‘Surface Ergonomic Keyboard’. No further deatils other than referring to its support for Bluetooth 4.2 is found.
