Windows 8 appears to ;embrace 3D monitors, according to details included in a leaked Build 7955 of Windows vNext.
3D stereoscopic options have been added to build 7955 of Windows 8, according to Windows8Italia, and while it’s safe to assume that they’re closely connected to the new 3D stereoscopic monitors, some of which already available, it’s hard to say just how far Microsoft pushed support.
Undoubtedly, 3D stereoscopic monitors will install automatically since the driver necessary for them to run will be included into Windows 8, since this is nothing more but standard modus operandi for the Redmond company.
Fact is that there has already been speculation on a Windows 8 3D UI, although none of the recent leaks of the platform have confirmed this.
Still, it somewhat makes sense to have a 3D flavor of the Windows Aero UI tailoring itself to 3D stereoscopic monitors.
