Windows 7 in a 3D desktop environment using T3Desk 2010

T3Desk is a cool free application, that lets you manage your applications more easily in a 3D desktop adding the third dimension to your Windows screen. “3Dmized” windows will appear in three dimensions and transparent on your screen and have the ability to be flipped, zoomed, moved, swiveled in almost anyway you want. T3Desk is lightweight on your resources, unlike most applications of its kind. T3Desk is built to work on Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME/XP/VISTA and latter versions, and require DirectX for dialog effects and also GDI+ and Visual C++ 2008 runtime components to be installed. Windows enter 3D by right clicking on the minimize buttons, with Vista and Windows 7 it leverages the graphics of Aero for nice eye-candy transparent window effects. One thing I do really like about T3 is that all applications you minimize are grouped together in the T3 icon in the taskbar (Win7). Ultimately the staying power will depend on each user’s needs. It’s a free app though and it appears to work with 64-bit systems so if you’re into 3D displays give it a try.
