Try New Chrome Extension ‘AdWords & Google Ads API Web Navi’ By Google

Google has launched a new Chrome extension calling it the AdWords & Google Ads API Web Navi!

This extension enables advertisers to see the services or reference pages of the AdWords API and Google Ads API related to the new Google Ads experience based on the currently browsed webpage.

By installing this add-on, the tool will show the current AdWords API and Google Ads API resources, including “guides, service reference pages, report references” related to the web page of the new Google Ads experience now visited, says Google.

Just choose the tab of your interest for the API to view the relevant resources.

Divided into section resources in both the tabs include  Guides, Services, and Reports for the AdWords API Resources, and Guides, Services, and Fields for the and Google Ads API Resources.

In the screenshot above the fold, you can see both of the tabs: (Left) AdWords API Resources – (Right) Google Ads API Resources.

Google explains the usage of this extension through an example as shown in the animation below:

“A user has clicked on the extension’s icon while browsing the Ad groups page of the new Google Ads experience. The extension then shows some relevant resources for the AdWords API, e.g., Objects, Methods, and Services, AdGroupService, and Adgroup Performance Report,” Google explained.

Resources will be shown when a user clicks on the Google Ads API (Beta) tab.

For services, the tool will always show the latest version of the API.

Google also has announced the general availability of Structured Data Files v4.1 in the DoubleClick Bid Manager API.

Some highlights of this release include:

  • Enhanced support for inventory source targeting
  • Renaming changes to better align SDF with the Display & Video 360 UI

Google is advising all SDF users to begin requesting v4.1 files to take advantage of these new features.

Simply pass 4.1 as the value of version when calling Sdf.download.
