‘Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview’ Screening at Select Landmark Theaters in U.S. on Nov. 16 & 17

Steve JobsA film interview with Apple founder Steve Jobs, titledd “Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview,” featuring footage made 16 years ago. The film, which is described as the “best TV interview Jobs ever gave,” will screen at select Landmark Theaters in 19 U.S. cities on November 16-17.

The footage was originally filmed for the “Triumph of the Nerds” PBS miniseries, but was lost when the master tapes disappeared in shipping. Only ten minutes of the footage were aired during the series, but an unedited copy of the entire interview was recently found in London and has been restored and enhanced. The interview is described as “a moment in time” because it shows Apple’s co-founder during his ‘wilderness years.’

The film is produced by Paul Sen and is not yet rated. According to Landmark, the film will play in the following cities and theaters in its cinema chain:

Interest in Jobs since his passing away on October 5 last month has such, that Reuters reports that Jobs auto biography by Walter Isaacson, has sold 379,000 print copies in its first week, according to figures supplied by Nielsen’s BookScan. Note; these numbers don’t include sales of digital book copies via Amazon’s Kindle service or Apple’s own iBook service.

Amazon has already predicted that the book will be its biggest seller for 2011.
