Microsoft has announced a new SkyDrive apps for both Windows Phone and iPhone is now avilable on the Windows Phone Marketplace.
The new SkyDrive dedicated app provides new functionality, such as creation/deletion of folders, sending links to files and folders, and more.
“SkyDrive from Microsoft is the place to store your files so you can access them from virtually any device. Windows Phone has built-in access to SkyDrive fright from the Office and Pictures hubs. It can also automatically upload pictures you take to SkyDrive for easy access,” reads the app description on Marketplace.
The new SkyDrive app for Windows Phone also lets you manage and share files – all in one place.

Being able to see all your folders and files (of all types) is important for SkyDrive power users, as it helps facilitate sharing and file management.

Pick a file of any type, or even a folder, and share it with as many people as you like. This uses the same “Get a link” mechanism as SkyDrive.com does–you can give the recipients view-only or view-and-edit permissions to your file.
