Intersoft WebUI Sirius: Project codenamed “Sirius” by Intersoft Solutions is supposed to “…deliver new innovations and fresh breakthrough UI components for the Web platform.” Siriusly, go check it out (I know, terrible pun). It looks at first like a normal page with some images at the bottom. But the images are actually navigation controls which interact and do interesting and fun things. You can dynamically update the controls, move them around the page, see cool demos of how the controls could work in, say, Vista or a CRM application, get help, etc. What’s more is that these gorgeous and playful controls are built upon Silverlight 1.0, so they can be used in rich web applications today!
Silverlight XLimit Magazine: The Silverlight XLimit Magazine shows a nice carousel control of a wide variety of magazines. When you hover over a magazine, the carousel stops. Clicking on a magazine gives you a closer view of what might be inside, as well as options to view or download it. If you click “View It”, it will download a few pages for the magazine and then let you page through as if you were reading it. The paging control is quite nice and the UI is simple and elegant. You can also get a list of all the spreads in the magazine and click to jump to the one you’re interested in.
Silverlight VR 360: Silverlight VR 360 takes an object the user creates (the demo uses a Jeep) and lets you rotate it a complete 360 degrees along both axes. It’s very nicely done and quite easy to rotate the object & turn it around as you want.
