Seattle Storm and Womens’ National Basketball Association (WNBA) inks deal with Microsoft Bing

Seattle Storm and Women’s National Basketball Association announced a “multiyear marquee partnership” with Bing decision engine. The sponsorship will put “Bing logo” on WNBA team’s jerseys — giving Microsoft a presence on uniforms worn by of three of Seattle’s remaining four remaining major professional sports teams. “Bing name & logo will appear on the front of the Storm’s home & visitor player jerseys and shooting shirts in all regular season games, reaching Storm fans at games & other consumers via national and local media coverage. And, of course, Bing will be “the official decision engine of the Storm”, and be deeply integrated into Storm marketing & promotional materials. Bing will also become “presenting sponsor” of the Jr. Storm youth basketball initiative & share the Storm with its hometown by giving away tickets to Jr. Storm participants throughout 2010 season, said in a new release.
