Microsoft published “Remote Desktop Services Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager 2007,” that helps you manage your computers running RDS on Windows Server 2008 R2 by monitoring health of RDS role services. When there’s a problem with availability or performance of one of these components, OpsMgr 2007 uses RDS MP to detect the issue and alert you so that you can diagnose the problem and fix it. The MP enables proactive health monitoring of following role services: Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host); Remote Desktop Licensing (RD Licensing); Remote Desktop Web Access (RD Web Access); Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway); Remote Desktop Connection Broker (RD Connection Broker); Remote Desktop Virtualization Host (RD Virtualization Host).
Also, published “Remote Desktop Services BPA Update for Windows Server 2008 R2, provides technologies that enable users to access Windows-based programs that are installed on a remote desktop server, or to access full Windows desktop. With RDS, users can access a RD server from a corporate network or from Internet,” revealed Mirosoft on KB979734.
