Preferred Practices for Office 365 ProPlus for IT Pros, Microsoft Edge Payment Request API Preview

The Preferred Practices for Office 365 ProPlus Deployment guide was created for IT pros by a team of Office 365 deployment experts, and is available for download at fasttrack.microsoft.com.

Payment Request API in Microsoft Edge now in preview, enabling simpler checkout and payments on the web on Windows 10 PCs and mobile.

You can begin to develop for the Payment Request API in Microsoft Edge on preview builds, starting with Windows Insider Preview build 14986. “Support for Payment Request in stable builds will be coming to EdgeHTML 15 in the Creators Update early next year.”

In other news, With its HoloLens headset and the Windows Holographic platform, Microsoft quietly launches HoloJS to help create holographic apps using JavaScript and WebGL.

Windows Holographic also means a lot for developers, the Universal Windows Platform the Windows 10 ecosystem: as a reminder; the HoloLens is a Windows 10 device, and it can run almost any UWP app (written in Visual C++, C#, Visual Basic, and even JavaScript) as a 2D app.

Launched a GitHub repository for HoloJS, a new framework for creating holographic apps using JavaScript and WebGL.

“HoloJS is a C++ library that hosts Chakra to run JavaScript code, and also hosts ANGLE to handle OpenGL ES graphics calls. OpenGL ES calls are translated from WebGL calls by the JavaScript app. When running on a Microsoft HoloLens, HoloJS supports holographic rendering,” Microsoft said.
