Pinterest Lens beta, since its debut, now recognizes over a billion objects, and the number of Lenses has tripled in the last month alone. Today, the team has announced some of the new improvements rolliing out Tuesday includes:
Lens now support QR codes
With the new QR scanning support, Pinners can now simply point Lens at the latest QR campaign and instantly jump to the website or Pinterest board without even needing to tap.
Lens multiple objects at once
Lens now easily search between multiple objects—now just Lens an object and tap a guide to narrow your search and dive deeper into more relevant ideas.
Shortcut right to Lens on iPhone
In addition to app shortcuts on Android, starting today, iPhone users have them, too. Pinners can press the Pinterest app to see shortcuts that jump right to Lens, Explore, Search or Saved ideas.
For businesses, while ad placement isn’t available in Lens beta just yet, they an however, do a number of things to make their brand more useful and actionable including:
- Use the QR codes to drive them to your Pinterest board, account or website to inspire audience with ideas from your brand.
- Upload your product catalog to Pinterest and make sure your website has the Save button so more of your products are available to appear in results.
