While the company celebrates this achivement, it has also hinted at a slew of upcoming new “people inspired” features coming soon, like as an example “pinch-to-zoom,” a new user requsted features, plus much more.
Board-within-boards is another highly requested user feature coming soon — will let users ‘add sections to your boards,’ once launched, so you can organize Pins the way you want to — meaning “you can save all your ideas to a single board, organize into sections, and easily find them later,” writes pinterest. Access to new sections is currently available to select few, will more broadly available to everyone once the testing is done.

Meanwhile, the company has introduced a new Pinterest Taste Graph with enhanced interest targeting.
Pinterest Taste Graph, built on human-curated links i.e. over 100 billion pins—by understanding evolving tastes, preferences and interests of users, surfaces perfect ideas for each Pinner and help them find fresh ideas as they move through various stages of planning their lives.
That’s a ton of activity! And it all adds up to valuable insights about what really appeals to people on Pinterest, what interests are out there in the world, and how they relate to each other.
Interest targeting now powered by Taste Graph, begin offering more than ten times interests to now – over 5000 interests to choose from.
With this addition, the company recently updated all existing interest targeted campaigns to start making use of Taste Graph, so your Pinterest campaigns run more effectively and help you reach groups of Pinners using a more versatile, expanded set of interests based on their precise tastes.
Pinterest citing early tests notes, advertisers already begun seeing 50% increases in click through rates, with 20% more cost effective clicks.
Over the next few weeks, all of these new interests will become more broadly available to pinners through Pinterest Ads Manager, Pinterest Marketing Partners, or a Pinterest account manager.
