Finally, Google today introduces an integration between Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics — by announcing a “limited pilot” for Search Engine Optimization reports in Analytics, based on Search Queries data from Webmaster Tools.
“The initial release will be a set of reports in Analytics using search data from Webmaster Tools. This includes query information, clicks, impressions, clickthrough rate, and average position. In addition to including Search Queries data found in Webmaster Tools, these SEO reports also take advantage of Analytics’ advanced filtering and visualization capabilities for deeper data analysis. For e.g., you can filter for queries that had more than 100 clicks and see a chart for how much each of those queries contributed to your overall clicks from top queries,” revealed Google.
Integration between the Analytics and Webmaster Tools was a long reuqested feature. Recently, in a Questions and Answers session with Matt Cutts, the question was asked.
If you’re interested in using these reports, please sign up for the pilot.
