Photosynth for iPhone version 1.1.3 now available on Apple’s iTunes App Store comes with an added Twitter support for iOS5 devices. “You can now tweet directly from within Photosynth, and include your panorama picture or a link to view your panorama interactively on Photosynth.net,” Microsoft stated.
For avid Twitter users with more than one Twitter account, Microsoft also included the ability to switch between multiple Twitter accounts right inside Photosynth. And of course, you can continue to share your panoramas on Facebook, via email, and publish them on Bing Maps and Photosynth.net for everyone to enjoy, informs Microsoft.
Microsoft also revealed that 6,000,000+ users are using the app.
For those not aware “Photosynth for iOS is the panorama creation app that makes it easy and fun to capture and share interactive panoramas of the places, people, and events that are important to you. Using the latest in computer vision techniques, you can not only make a panorama from left to right, but also up and down, enabling you to capture a full “sphere”.
Once you’ve created a Photosynth you can share it as an interactive panorama experience to Twitter as well as Facebook (using the free Photosynth.net service) or as a simple image. You can also publish your panoramas to Bing Maps where millions of people will see your panoramas, both on the map itself and in search results for the places you’ve captured. And check out the “Best of Bing Maps” where we show off the best of what you and your fellow users create and share.”
You can download the free Photosynth app for iPhone from App Store.
