Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, was at the Port of Ashdod, Israel, over the weekend with one of his yachts, Tatoosh, in preparation for a visit to an “unknown marine archeological site somewhere off the coast,” according to Jerusalem post: “A spokesman for the Ashdod Port, which is the sole port in Israel large enough to accommodate such a private mega-yacht, said Allen’s helicopter landed directly on one of the two pads on the fifth deck of the Tatoosh. The ship, with its 30-person crew, had been in Ashdod since Wednesday, and sailed out with Allen on board on Saturday.” Also, the assets of Kirkland-based Digeo Inc., a home-entertainment technology company backed by Paul Allen, are slated be sold for $20 million to ARRIS Group Inc. under an agreement announced. ARRIS says it would employ 75 of Digeo’s employees in Kirkland and continue to develop and market Digeo’s Moxi digital video recorder, reports.
