Microsoft made publicly available sample of Presence Controls intended for Office Communicator 2007. You can use these Presence Controls with either OCS 2007 or with Microsoft Lync.
“The Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 Presence Controls use the automation interfaces of OCS2007 to show presence information using OCS 2007,” Microsoft stated.
“This download was originally released on November 13, 2007. For a complete list of fixes and changes in this latest version, please see KB article KB949210.”
“Presence Controls are designed to provide presence information and real time collaboration options to Microsoft Windows Forms, Web Forms and GUI applications that’re based on the Microsoft Win32 application programming interface. The controls provide developers of these applications with the ability to drag-and-drop the control from the toolbox in Visual Studio onto applications and provide access to the capabilities of Communicator in an easy to incorporate manner,” the Redmond company said.
So in order to build this Sample Presence Add-In Control for Dynamics NAV, you can simply use the output from the sample linked below, which is a Set of Presence Controls contained in — PresenceControls.dll
Next, create a new Project and include a reference to the Presence Control Set — this’s the Dynamics NAV Add-In Project.
