LinkedIn Open Candidates, makes it easier to connect with your dream job by privately signaling to recruiters that you’re open to new job opportunities, and be easily found by the recruiters using the professional social platform to find great professional talent.
Once turned the signal on, “We will hide the Open Candidates signal from recruiters at your company or affiliated company recruiters,” writes LinkedIn.
First thing, update your profile to reflect your skills, then access “Open Candidates”, from the “Preferences” tab on the LinkedIn Jobs home page, and simply turn sharing “On”. Once you’ve turned the signal on, you can fill in some brief information about the types of companies and roles you are most interested in.
In addition, through newly launched Career Pages, you can learn about the company’s culture, or use “Meet the Team” feature, where you will learn more about future colleagues for open jobs that catch your attention.
Additionally, you can also search through more than six million jobs on LinkedIn.
Should you need to freshen up professional skills for desired jobs, with new LinkedIn Learning platform, you can take up high quality courses and content to acquire required skills.
Open Candidates for now is available in the U.S, U.K., Canada and Australia on the desktop and mobile web. LinkedIn says global roll out will happen soon.
