Nokia Windows Phone 3D Maps with Voice Navigation

Acording to a tipster, Nokia seems to be preparing to unveil its own voice-navigation software in Windows Phone which will feature 3D maps.

An anonymous tipster sent WinRumors images of some marketing posters that T-Mobile in Germany is currently preparing for its Nokia Windows Phones. The posters (embedded below) were briefly displayed at T-Mobile’s on-site shop at the company’s corporate headquarters in Bonn, Germany.

One poster displayed a potential Nokia Windows Phone with T-Mobile media center and Top Apps installed. T-Mobile also ships navigation software with some of its devices so it’s possible that its Nokia offering will include T-Mobile’s software. The tipster also snapped a picture of the description alongside the poster which roughly translates to:

“With Nokia drive safely at the finish – including 3D representation and voice-controlled navigation.
New operating system: Windows phone 7.5 (Mango)
Brilliant 3.7″ convex Amoled display”

“It would appear that at least one of Nokia’s Windows Phone devices will include a 3.7″ AMOLED display, inbuilt satellite navigation, and a Micro SIM card. The information matches descriptions of a mystery “Nokia Sabre” Nokia Windows Phone device. Microsoft accidentally revealed the device name earlier this week and it is expected to feature a micro-SIM slot and 3.7″ display.”

According to WPCentral, a Microsoft Canada Mango app contest page accidently leaked out references to several yet-to-be released Windows Phone 7.5 devices:

The estimated retail value of the phone is $600.00. The type of Windows Phone 7.5 will vary and will be selected at Microsoft’s choosing (examples include Samsung Yukon, Samsung Wembley, NOKIA Sea Ray and NOKIA Sabre)

While not much information is available at this moment, however, it is presumed that all Nokia Windows Phone devices are expected to ship with a full suite of Nokia applications, including “Nokia Drive“. The 3.7″ display also doesn’t help distinguishing whether it’s the “Sea Ray” or “Sabre”, given that it’s likely both devices will have a 3.7″ display.
