Nielsen November 2011: Google, Facebook Top U.S. Web Brands – 130 Million Unique U.S. Viewers Watched YouTube Videos

Nielsen November 2011 Top U.S. Web Brands and Top Online U.S. Video SitesGoogle was the most-visited web brand with 174.3 million unique U.S. visitors during November 2011, according to a Nilesen report.

Facebook at no. 2 positio had 156,247 unique visitors, followe by Yahoo! who had 145,406 uniqure visitors.

MSN/WindowsLive/Bing at no. four position had 130,896, and YouTube at #5 has 127,004 unique visitors.

“The list of Top Brands remained the same as the month before, with the Amazon overtaking Wikipedia as the 8th ranked site by total audience in November, reflecting greater consumer activity during the busy holiday shopping season,” Nilesen wites.

In Nov 2011, overall 213 million Americans were active online, and Nielsen estimated that over 274 million Americans were connected to the Internet (see above chart).

166.9 million unique U.S. video viewers in Nov 2011, NielsenNilesen also reporting that in November 2011, there were 166.9 million unique U.S. video viewers who streamed almost 22 billion videos and spent more than 5 hours on average watching online video.

YouTube was the top online video destinations by unique viewers in November 2011 in the U.S. with 130,775 unique vistors, followed by the VEVO who recorded 42,729 uniqure visitors.

Facebook came third with 30,255 unique visitor, followe by MSN/WindowsLive/Bing with 24,612 unique visitors.

Yahoo! at no. 2 positon had 34,383 uniqure visitors.

In Nov 2011, YouTube streamed 13,436,002 online videos, followed by Hulu who streamed 819,544 online videos.
