To mark the second anniversary of the visual search – Pinterest is launching five new tools for better ways to spot ideas on the platform that include, visual search for Chrome to recipe-finding tools to interface improvements.
Here are quick details of the five new ways using the power of visual search launching:
Lens Your Look let you mix and match ways to find outfit ideas by letting you add a photo of an item from your wardrobe to a text search query — say for example to find new ways to wear a jean jacket — “just add a photo of the jacket to search to find Autumn outfit ideas that go right with your denim,” writes the team.

Shop the Look brings in more than 5 million new shoppable products across 25 thousand brands from ShopStyle Collective’s style influencers, like Color Me Courtney, New Darlings, Mint Arrow and Memorandum — so you can get it by clicking the dots that appear on shoppable products within Pins.

Pinterest’s visual search extension which is available on Chrome is now launching on Firefox, too to help save ideas from around the web. Using the tool you can initiate a visual search with any image that you see on the internet. Just download Pinterest for Firefox.
Lastly, as posted yesterday, now when you shop at a store, or flip through a magazine, new Pinterest Pincodes will appear — you can then scan these pincode using Pinterest camera to see curated ideas.
