At the E3 2016, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, introduced the next addition to the Xbox One family “Xbox One S” that delivers unprecedented choice and level of personalization for gamers.
The all new Xbox One S debuting a sleek new design and “robot white” color, and is the smallest and most compact Xbox ever. “All Xbox One devices will play current and future Xbox One games as well as titles in the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program, and all accessories will work across every console in the Xbox One family as well,” said Spencer.
The 40 percent smaller console is available today for pre-order and in stores starting August 2016. The new device is available in 500GB and 1TB variants.
In addition, 2TB Xbox One S Limited launch edition will be available in select markets.
“The device has an internal power supply and supports 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray movies and content streaming from partners like Netflix and Amazon Video,” Spencer noted, adding, High Dynamic Range (HDR) support for video and gaming delivers richer, more luminous colors in games like Gears of War 4.1.

Project Scorpio the most powerful console ever created will come with 6 teraflops GPU, which will fully embrace true 4K gaming and high-fidelity virtual reality without sacrificing quality, performance. The device will debut in holiday of 2017.
The all new Xbox Wireless Controller now sporting sleek, streamlined design in white, a textured grip, and Bluetooth for wireless connection to Windows 10 PCs and tablets. it’s available worldwide starting this August.
Xbox Design Lab available now allows you to customize their own Xbox Wireless Controllers. You can choose the controller body from over 8 million color, alongwith D-pad, thumbsticks, ABXY buttons and more. In addition, Laser engraving is also available for an additional cost. Xbox Design Lab is open for orders.
Xbox Elite Wireless Controller features laser-etched claw marks and a battle-weathered design, and is designed in coalition with “Gears of War 4” Limited Edition. It’ll will be available in very limited quantities for pre-orders starting this weelk.
In addition, a host of new Xbox Live features announced today include: a unified experience with Xbox Live coming to all devices and networks such as PC, console, virtual reality and mobile.
Further, the following new features are coming to Xbox Live:
- Clubs on Xbox Live lets gamers create private communities with similar people.
- Looking for Group makes it easier looking up Group on Xbox Live to seek out players available.
- Arena on Xbox Live brings competitive gaming to Xbox One and Windows 10 devices, and letting you sign up tournaments directly through the Xbox UI.
- Cross-play allows gamers to play select multiplayer games together on on Xbox One and Windows 10. Also, Minecraft players on iOS, Android, Windows 10 phone and Windows 10 devices can all join together in cross-device multiplayer.
- Digital assistant Cortana bring voice commands on Xbox One.
- The Xbox summer update will add PC games (Win32) in Xbox Live.
Additionally, the new Xbox Play Anywhere, allows gamers to buy a game once and play it on both their Windows 10 PC and Xbox One console. Gamers can also share progress, game saves and achievements.
Microsoft further notes, that every new Microsoft Studios title unveiled at Xbox E3 2016 will support Xbox Play Anywhere.
