MSN China suspend Juku temporarily while investigating matter

Few hours, after reports of Microsoft China lifting design and source code of Plurk emerged, Microsoft earlier issued an statement “questions arose over a feature developed by a third-party vendor for MSN China joint venture, MSN China will be suspending access to Juku beta feature temporarily while we investigate the matter fully.” Now the investigations are complete, and Microsoft says that “The vendor has now acknowledged that a portion of the code they provided was indeed copied. This was in clear violation of the vendor’s contract with MSN China joint venture, and equally inconsistent with Microsoft’s policies respecting intellectual property. We’ll be suspending access to the Juku beta indefinitely. We apologize to Plurk and we’ll be reaching out to them directly to explain what happened and the steps we’ve taken to resolve situation.”
