Mouse Mischief from Microsoft, is a free add-on for Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, that lets teachers insert questions, polls, and drawing activity slides into multi-user presentations. Students can actively participate in these lessons by using their own mice to click, circle, cross out, or draw answers on the screen. When your audience is a bunch of bored students, that can be tricky. Mouse Mischief aims to solve this by letting the students participate in the actual presentation. Each student gets a themed mouse pointer (so you can tell them apart), and the teacher tells them to select the right answer or do something. Another cool feature about Mouse Mischief is that you don’t need to provide all the kids with laptops. Each student just has a mouse on their desk, and they use it to interact with the presentation wirelessly. One computer processes all mouse inputs.
