Microsoft’s multi-megapixel digital aerial cameras “UltraCamL” and “UltraCamLp” won the Technology Innovation Award from the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors. The award in the Technology Innovation category was presented during the 4th Annual MAPPS Geospatial Products and Services Excellence Awards competition, on GIS Day, Nov’17, in Kissimmee, Florida, at MAPPS Fall Policy Conference.
According to Microsoft, UltraCamL and UltraCamLp managed to win TIA because of the work done in terms of hardware, electronics and software. MAPPS assessed that the cameras are capable of delivering a new price/performance standard for photogrammetric imaging operations.
