Microsoft spins Windows 7 Dell XPS 16 to mute Mac dominance in entertainment

Microsoft has teamed up with Darek Mazzone, the host of Wo’Pop, a weekly radio show on Seattle’s KEXP, Seattle-based Pezzner, New York City-based Sabo, and Deadbeat (Scott Monteith). Together, they embraced Windows 7 powered fully-loaded Dell XPS 16’s.

“Together with Dell PCs, we also shipped each DJ a Novation Launchpad controller, Focusrite Saffire 6 USB audio interface, Serato Rane SL3 DJ interface, Ableton Live 8 software suite, Crane laptop stand, Flip Mino HD camera and, of course, a Windows-branded Mono DJ bag and T-shirt (we love swag and couldn’t resist),” Brown stated.

Darek took his XPS 16 for a spin. He opened for great Rachid Taha at Neumos in Seattle on June 8:

In Spain, Sonar opened in Barcelona. Deadbeat and Darek presented ska and reggae cuts mixed on their PCs on the Hotel Pulitzer roof on June 19th from 7-11pm.
