Microsoft smartphone shares fall to 13.2 percent, Google Android gain at 13 percent, comScore

comScore study indicates, that “Microsoft’s share of the smartphone market dropped from 15.1% to 13.2%. While at the same time as Google’s Android gains steam. Android gained four percentage points and is now just behind Microsoft at 13% of the market. It’s also worth noting that Apple’s iPhone platform fell by one percent to 24.4% of the smarthphone market. However, comScore notes that the results don’t include the release of Apple’s new iPhone 4.

ComScore also released results of its survey of how consumers are utilizing smartphones. Here’s that chart.
