Microsoft Security Essentials, Forefront Client Security To Get New Antimalware Engine

Microsoft revealed that they’re planning to deliver new Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) and Forefront Client Security (FCS) releases on 16 August 2010, which’ll feature a new antimalware engine at their core, and that’ll be in the range of 1.1.610X.0.

Microsoft is currently hard at work building the next iteration of Microsoft Security Essentials. The company is currently testing the Beta development milestone of Microsoft Security Essentials 2.0, which was offered to early adopters for testing as early as the second half of July 2010.
