Microsoft has outlined, at a high level, approval process for Windows 8 Applications.
The application store is show in the picture below, see the “orange shopping bag” under the IE icon. The store when opened will be a key component of Microsoft’s tablet strategy.
As application developers begin submitting their apps, Microsoft has outlined a six-step approval process for app submissions.
The approval process is not as rigorous as Apple’s, but incorporates a number of safe guards into approval process to keep malware and other malicious code from executing and spreading onto machines through their “Windows Store”.
