Microsoft reached a major milestone in cloud adoption, with over “40 million global users now running Microsoft Online Services. Microsoft Online Service customers include a Hollard Group insurance products & services provider, Real Insurance; pet accessory manufacturer, Red Dingo; and medical rescue services company, Immediate Assistants. These three’re among hundreds of other Australian businesses chosen to implement MOS. Microsoft and Telstra partners have signed up to sell MOS through Telstra’s T-Suite, which allows them to resell, customise & provide consulting, migration and managed services for software to their customers. A number of local partners, including HubOne and Within Reach Software, have already helped deploy cloud technologies in businesses throughout Australia. Telstra is currently offering a bundle of MOS, Telstra Business Broadband and Telstra landline services, which provides businesses with a full suite of productivity tools such as e-mail, calendaring and contacts, shared workspaces and web conferencing, allowing employees and businesses to be more productive and responsive to customers. Depending on their communication needs, businesses can save between $25 and $200 per month, over 24 months,” writes Microsoft.
