Just in time for the Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 (WPC) in Houston, Microsoft and HP introduced on Wednesday July 5th, a new program called Modern Infrastructure, “a set of market-ready solutions that Microsoft partners can begin offering their customers later this year,” informs the company.
Microsoft and HP are very committed to this program and will offer partner support from generating sales to special promotions to pilots and proofs of concept.
Partners are “in the right place to seize the huge market opportunity that modernization of IT represents.” And, that “spending on virtualized hardware and software is slated to reach 43 percent of the total datacenter expenditures by 2014,” said Mark Hassall, Microsoft director of Partner and Channel Marketing for Enterprise Partners. Also, “Mobility and VDI is becoming the highest growth driver and is predicted to reach $1B by 2017,” he adds.
This represents an optimized go-to-market approach around a set of 3 clearly defined and differentiated, end-to-end solutions including: “
- Server Virtualization and Private Cloud: Help customers scale IT resources and services on-demand, and reduce operational expenses.
- Client Virtualization / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Help customers empower their increasingly mobile workforce by delivering business applications anywhere and on any device.
- Data Management and BusinessIntelligence: Enable customers to unlock actionable insights from large volumes of data and use data as a competitive advantage,” Microsoft added.
