Even since, Office 2019 was announced, there is always a question — Are the Office 2019 and Office 365 Same?
Today, in a series of videos as part of twins challenge, Microsoft has tried to clear the difference between two of its latest Office variants.
The videos also show off the advantages of Office 365 over purchasing a perpetual license, such as Office 2019.
In the videos, two identical twins are given identical tasks to complete on Office 2019 vs. Office 365.
The message is clear, Microsoft wants users to buy Office 365 instead because it’s better.
- Office 365 is cloud-connected, while Office 2019 is offline.
- Office 365 offers artificial intelligence (AI), on the other hand, Office 2019 doesn’t have it.
- Office 365 regularly gets feature updates, while perpetual license products are “frozen in time”.
- Office 365’s cloud connectivity helps in accessing content from any device, anywhere, coauthor with anyone in real-time. On the flip side, Office 2019 doesn’t support real-time co-authoring across apps.
However, both include the latest versions of Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
In the Microsoft Word, both the twins were tasked to edit their resumes, added relevant skills, and sent it to recruiters.
Microsoft Excel twins were tasked with new cloud-connected features like finding state capitals, state populations, and largest cities.
And, finally, Microsoft PowerPoint twins had to design slides, ink to text, and ink to shapes.
