Microsoft has sent all adCenter customers an email informing of the changes coming to Terms & Conditions on June 21st, 2010. The refresh is designed to enable customers to leverage the unified search marketplace in U.S. and Canada. Carolyn Miller enumerated some of key modifications: “•contracting entity is changed from Microsoft Online, L.P., to Microsoft Online, Inc., and contract’s governing law is now State of Nevada •Microsoft adCenter API access terms have been added to consolidate API Terms & Conditions with Microsoft adCenter service Terms & Conditions. Your participation in API program is governed by these new terms •A section about information-sharing with 3rd-parties has been added.”
Microsoft recently entered into an agreement with Yahoo!, Inc., to create a single marketplace for, among other things, keyword search and contextual advertising between the two companies. To provide adCenter advertisers with the best possible advertising services, Microsoft will be sharing information related to your adCenter account with Yahoo! and other trusted partners.
