Mark Russinovich joins Microsoft Windows Azure team

Microsoft Technical Fellow Mark Russinovich has joined Windows Azure. “Russinovich is considered one of the foremost experts inside or outside Microsoft. He was co-founder of Winternals Software in 1996 — a company which Microsoft acquired in 2006. He also co-founded Sysinternals.com, for which he’s written dozens of Windows utilities, including Filemon, Regmon, Process Explorer, Rootkit Revealer and more. Prior to that, Russinovich was a resarcher at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center, specializing in operating-system support for Web-server acceleration.”

The announcement of Russinovich revealed throug a tweet from Matthijs Hoekstra: “Hey Russinovich moved to the windows azure team.”

Microsoft hasn’t made any official announcement yet.
