LG Optimus 7 Windows Phone 7 Flicks Photos to TVs [Video]

At the IFA trade show in Berlin, LG Optimus 7, a prototype Windows Phone 7 smartphone was demonstrated by LG, streaming DLNA content to a Wi-Fi enabled TV set. LG had worked with Microsoft to create a custom media-sharing capability for its GW910 handset which involves sharing media content using a “finger flick” gesture.

This preinstalled feature lets users send files from the phone’s media gallery to compatible devices on the same Wi-Fi network with just a flick of their fingers. It doesn’t require any additional apps in order to work, either. Supported file types include 720p HD videos, high-res photos and music files, all of which can be flicked to a TV set or home theater system.

LG says the feature will be embedded in its upcoming LG Optimus 7 smartphones, arriving later this year.
