In an interview with Russia Today, WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, warned people that “Facebook, Yahoo and Google information is very accessible to the US government.” During the interview Assange discussed the social revolts in the Middle East, innocent Guantanamo prisoners and his legal situation. With the access to information his organization has, Assange has insights many others don’t.
“Facebook in particular is the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented. Here we’ve the world’s most comprehensive database about people, their relationships, their names, their addresses, their locations and the communications with each other, their relatives, all sitting within the US, all accessible to US intelligence.
Facebook, Google, Yahoo – all these major US organizations have built-in interfaces for US intelligence. It’s not a matter of serving a subpoena. They’ve an interface that they’ve developed for US intelligence to use,” Assange noted in his interview with Russia Today.
Assange noted, there’s no actual set up API for the government, access is easy through legal and political pressures.
