Apple’s new iPod touch has been brought up to speed at par with the iPhone 4.
The new iPod touch now comes with a 1GHz A4 chip, 960 x 640 Retina Display, iOS 4.1, a three-axis gyroscope, a front- and rear-facing camera.
It also has a mic with FaceTime and HD video recording capabilities, Game Center, and up to 40 hrs music / 7 hrs video playback on a single battery charge.
“The resulting 326 pixels per inch is so dense that the human eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels when iPod touch is held at a normal distance, making text, images, and video look sharper, smoother and more realistic.”
iPod touch users can make FaceTime video calls over Wi-Fi. With just a tap of new FaceTime app, iPod touch users can call other new iPod touch or iPhone 4 users.
The 2011 iPod Touch comes in three capacities: 8GB for $229, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399.
