Pre-orders for Apple iPhone 4 began on Wednesday and quickly sold out by the end of the day for those in U.S. and received over 600,000 pre-orders.
Many customers were left frustrated and confused by a series of website failures throughout the day. Also, AT&T’s ordering system exposed customers private information, with some customers seeing other users credit card information and addresses. Apple confirmed the “system malfunctions” in a press statement and apologized to those who encountered difficulties. Apple’s new iPhone 4 is scheduled to go on sale on June 24. The new device includes a front-facing camera with video chat, a 3-axis gyroscope and an improved 5MP camera that can capture HD video.
