Internet Explorer gains .57% Globally in June, Google Chrome .2%, Net Apps reports

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is showing early signs of a “comeback”; According to Net Applications, IE had already reversed its trend in the U.S., gaining usage share. In June, the trend reversal has apparently become global.

IE gained .57% in June across all operating systems with IE8 gaining .66% worldwide. The gains for IE were the largest in Europe (+.88%) and Asia (+.81%).

Mozilla Firefox, dropped to 23.8%, while Chrome saw modest growth climbing from 7.0 to 7.2%. Apple Safari, increased to 4.9%, while Opera slipped from 2.4 to 2.3%. Opera just got a significant update with the release of Opera 10.60.
