Internet Explorer “60.74%, Firefox 22.91%, Chrome 7.16%” Browser Usage Share July 2010, Net Apps – IE9 2 million downloads

Windows Blog posted Internet Explorer’s gaining a seemingly minuscule amount of usage share in July, and cites Net Applications data showing “IE gains for the second month in a row against Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox declines. Month-over-month, IE usage share rose to 60.74% from 60.34%; Chrome declined to 7.16% from 7.24%; Firefox declined to 22.91% from 23.81%. Apple’s Safari gained share — 4.85% to 5.09%.” The protection of your security and privacy by IE8 continues to resonate with customers. Check this IE8 tv commercial, and then behind the scenes “making of” video below shows just how those commercials came about.

“While continued IE8 momentum is encouraging, developers and browser enthusiasts are equally as excited by the future of IE. There’s great buzz around IE9 Platform Previews – with 2 million downloads of Preview and over 16 million page views to IE Test Drive site,” stated Ryan.
