Intel launched “Hybrid Cloud” a pilot program in the US and Canada to test new service, with a range of three headless servers, two based on Lenovo ThinkServer TS200v hardware with Intel Xeon processors and an unbranded, white box server. Hardware must support Intel’s Active Management Technology 6.0 (AMT) for compatibility with new infrastructure (specifically remote rebooting of the system regardless of server state).
“Intel Hybrid Cloud is an innovative new subscription-based model for providing locally hosted server software on a pay-as-you-go basis. Small businesses get all of the benefits of services in cloud, with responsiveness and consistency of local apps, plus peace of mind of having your data on site. If you sell services, you’ll find lower solution & service delivery costs with Intel Hybrid Cloud that can save you time, improve your ROI and help you manage your cash flow. For many hardware-based resellers, moving into growing services market is a smart long-term strategy. Intel Hybrid Cloud can enable your entry into small & medium business IT services market by providing flexible “white label” services that you can package and brand as your own.”
