Instagram Rolls Out Shopping in Explore, Expands Shopping in Stories to More Countries

Instagram Shopping is growing considerably in fact over 90 million accounts today taps to show tags in shopping posts on the platform each month.

Also, the company notes that over 400 million plus accounts come to Stories every day.

The company has today unveiled two new updates to make it even more easy to shop on its network with expanding Shopping in Stories and introducing new Shopping in Explore.

Shopping in Stories Expansion

In test since June of this year, the Shopping in Stories is now available across the world with expansion to businesses in 46 countries.

“[…]With one-third of the most-viewed stories coming from businesses, we’re excited to see how Shopping in Stories enable brands to tell an even deeper story about what’s behind their products,” the company wrote.

Shopping in Explore

A new Shopping channel added into the Explore will show Shopping posts from the brands that a user currently follows or the brands they “might” like.

The dedicated channel can also be personalized as per users like as well.

The Topic channels that let users browse across their interests and dive deeper on the area of their like using the Explore feature was introduced back in the June of this year.

Now, using this new dedicated Shopping channel in Explore, they can see all Shopping related posts from their favorite brands,  says the company.

The Shopping channel in Explore is rolling out today.

It will expand in more counties around the globe in the coming weeks.

“Shopping is more than an errand – it’s also about what you discover along the way. For many people on Instagram, shopping is an entertaining way to get inspired and connect with new and interesting brands.”

Instagram notes that it aims to make the social network platform the “best place to shop from your favorite brands and find inspiration.”

That said, they will continue to explore and make the right features and experiences available to Instagram.

Still, the company has not said anything about the dedicated Instagram shopping app,
