HP’s new ‘Communication & Collaboration, Virtual Rooms, and HP 48Uppe” for SMBs

HP announced new communication, collaboration and networking solutions to drive growth for small and midsize businesses (SMBs). New services include:

  • HP Virtual Rooms, remote online collaboration space with pricing from $12.95 per month through to $54.95 per month for 5 – 25 seats. A joint HP/Microsoft Unified Communication and Collaboration solution brings together hardware, software & services around Exchange 2010, Office Communication Server 2007 R2 for AV, web conferencing and remote client access and Sharepoint Server 2010.
  • HP also announced a new small business peer to peer networking intiative in conjunction with LinkedIn. Small Biz Nation‘s social network aims to strength business relationships as well as provide community support for a range of business issues – tech as well as non-tech.
  • HP 48Upper is pitched as “a new social approach to IT Management” – or in HP’s words, “a service that enables IT professionals to manage across all the processes that make up IT – from project planning and operations to service management. Built-in community features also make it easier to share best practices across an organization.”
