Gowalla for Mobile Web is supported on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, and Palm is in the works. The phones include: iPone Touch, 2G, 3G, 3GS, Droid, Nexus, myTouch, Bold, Curve, Storm, and Pre Plus, Pixi Plus. If you’re familiar with the Gowalla iPhone app, the Android version too has practically all of the features of the iPhone app, wrapped up in a nicely-designed Android-style package. You can check in, keep track of friends, see your profile and complete trips from the new app. The only thing you can’t do is add a location, but that feature is presumably coming soon in an update. Gowalla for Android has very accurate location detection, powered by Skyhook Wireless. Gowalla also, released the first public version of the Gowalla API. Starting now, developers can build applications that use Gowalla data in fun and interesting ways.
