Google Wave “following and unfollowing” features

To reduce clogging up Google Wave inboxes from public waves; Google introduced concepts of ‘following and unfollowing’ Wave documents. Now, clicking on a public wave no longer causes it to appear and stay in your inbox; you’ve to explicitly choose to “follow” the wave. Please note: new “unfollow” feature replaces mute. If you no longer want a wave for any reason to show up in your inbox, use “unfollow”. You can still find waves that you’re not following by searching for them or if you’ve organized them into saved searches or folders. Also, Google says they’re also thinking about expanding Wave so that that the following of people may become an option. Doing so would open up yet another use case for Wave which was still missing, namely the one of “opt-in” group-messaging tools like Friendfeed and Blogger.
