Google has announced the Top Contributors is being rebranded to what they are calling as the “Google Product Experts” program and launched as well today.
In addition to new branding for Google Top Contributors, the company will also be updating various badges in the forum to match this new program so they can be distinguishably recognized.
The company says that it is the “same community of experts,” who are ardent users of Google products and like to help other people in need.
The more questions answered and marked useful, the more status these Product Experts garnered.
Product Experts also enjoy providing feedback by posting questions for Google on various Google tools, such as Search Console. This feedback is then used to shape the products better with new features and updates.
“Obtaining feedback from our users is one of Google’s core values, and Product Experts often have a great understanding of what affects a lot of our users,” stated Google.
To explain further about how this feedback helps Google, the company has shared details about the Product Experts’ feedback about the Search Console was used by them to build the new version of Google Search Console.
